- Steve Skidmore and Steve Barlow, collectively known as The Two Steves are British collaborative writers who mostly work in the field of children’s literature. They have authored more than 70 well known book series including: Lost Diaries, Mad Myths, Outernet and many more. They have also written a large body of work for educational publishers, and have been series editors for Impact and High Impact (materials for struggling readers) for Heinemann, as well as series editors for Heinemann Plays and Oxford Playscripts.
- Steve Barlow and Steve Skidmore are two of the authors of the best-selling Lost Diaries series. They met whilst teaching in Nottingham in the 1980s and have been unable to get away from each other since!
- Steve Barlow was born in Britain. He studied at Warwick University and Nottingham University, and worked at various times as a teacher, actor, stage manager and puppeteer. Then he went to teach in Botswana, where a valid excuse for students not handing in their homework was ‘A goat ate it, sir!’. On his return to the UK he met Steve Skidmore, and the rest is hysteria.

- Steve Skidmore was born in Birstall near Leicester in England. He trained as a teacher of Drama, English and Film studies, before teaming up with Steve Barlow to become a full time author. Steve Skidmore lives in Leicester and enjoys rugby and live comedy.
